Chris Bright

Chris Bright is the Executive Director of Karate Canada, leading the national sport organization responsible for supporting more than 15,000 karate practitioners across the country. Prior to joining Karate Canada, he worked with Taekwondo Canada as a High Performance Consultant and spent 12 years with Hockey Canada, helping lead national growth and development initiatives. A former professional hockey player, Chris represented Team Canada internationally, including winning Spengler Cup gold and earning a bronze medal at the IIHF World Championship. With experience across elite sport, governance, and athlete development, Chris is passionate about building strong teams, collaborative sport systems, and creating opportunities for more Canadians to experience the life-changing impact of sport.
